taoist
How do you use hybrid symbols say of windows and doors that are normally in plan view for 2D elevation drawings. Would be of great help so I do not have to create the windows from scratch every time. taoist Quote Link to comment
islandmon
Hybrid = 2dPlanObjects +3dObjects Elevations= 3d side-view and therefore use the 3dObjects of the Hybrid window symbol. There are no 2dElevationObjects. Use the 3d HiddenLine Render mode and/or Sections for your elevations. Various combinations of HLR, OpenGL, Sketch&Hatch are useful. Quote Link to comment
taoist
So when I draw an elevation in 2D (I have not figured out how to use hatches in 3D siding, roofing, etc.), I can't use the Hybrid window symbol for 2D elevations? What if I don't use 3D elevations? Are there equivalent 2D symbols for all Hybrid Objects? The only work around I have found is to use the Hybrid symbol, make the changes I want, save as polygon copy and insert into 2D elevations. taoist Quote Link to comment
