gScott
i find that unless i put stairs on the 'none' class they render with no fill in 3D. any combination of default fills on other classes, including 'use at creation' seems to have no effect. this happens when the tread/riser/stringer classes are set to 'none' in the PIO 'construction' tab. if you assign the 'style-x' classes to the parts the stair renders fine, but if the parts are set to 'none', the default, and the stair's class is not 'none' then the render goes transparent anyone have any ideas? Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted November 21, 2007 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 21, 2007 The render goes transparent because that's what you've got the None class set to. This is apparently a bug. For now, you'll have to use the Style classes (or give your None class some fill.) Quote Link to comment
gScott
robert i think i haven't explained well enough, ONLY the NONE class renders properly!! regardless of NONE's 'use at creation' setting. any other class fails... Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted November 26, 2007 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 26, 2007 I understood and was able to reproduce your problem, so you explained fine. It's a bug. Quote Link to comment
gScott
thanks for confirming that, any chance of it being fixed in 12.5.x? or do the old bugs get carried forward to the new version? Quote Link to comment
doughd
That's what I'm saying. I found bugs in 12.5.2 that are still in VW 2008! I thought '08 was totally revamped, but I guess it takes years to get All the bugs out. Quote Link to comment
