  1. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? I have a french door, and both handles are facing the same way!
  2. Thanks for the response, but i need to know how this issue can be resolved NOW, not the future. I can't have my live sections clearly showing a knob way too high on a door. And, no, I don't like wasting a bunch of time having to 'clean' up the live section.
  3. IMO, that would be great for VW! It would make things so much easier, and walls would actually look accurate in live sections!
  4. Thanks for the input guys! Is the standard height for knobs different in other countries compared to the US?
  5. NNA, please help me with the problem in top thread.
  6. Thanks for the input buz!
  7. ok, just talked to tech support about all the issues with the stair tool in 2009 SP2. He said they are releasing a patch update specifically for the stair tool for users with 2009 SP2, sometime in the next couple of weeks (not sooner, for an obvious reason).

  9. And another problem directly associated with the hardware: the distance between the opposing sides of the knobs is 1 3/8"; and the NNA default door thickness is 1 3/4". IMO, these should be exactly the same! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think US Standard door thickness is 1 3/4"
  10. Correct me if I'm wrong, and I think I am speaking for everyone here in the US (considering NNA does have 'North America' in it), but why isn't the default door hardware symbols inserting into doors at the standard 36" or at least somewhere close to that? They currently install 3'-6" above bottom, which very possibly could be an error. What is the best way to work around this problem? I've tried creating a new symbol library, but I don't think I should spend my valuable time changing all of the symbols (moving them down 6") to install in the door where I need them to. NNA! Please help!
  11. Before 2009 SP2, the stair text (i.e. DN 14 R) would align with the arrow direction. Now (with SP2) it seems no matter which way the stairs are going, the text always stays horizontal. Is there something I'm missing??
  12. See attached images. Does anyone else have this problem? This morning on VW open, the palettes seem to have crawled against the wall overnight. Not a major issue, only takes a second to pull them back to the original positions, but this should not be happening! And it only does it randomly, sometimes on VW open in the morning, and sometimes re-open after a crash.
  13. We had lots of problems using the font 'Technical' in the past. Sometimes the pdf that was exported from VW would have all the text dissappeared. We could never resolve the problem, so then I found 'Archie' somewhere on the VW website (as a Shared Resource, or something like that), but there is way too much blank space above each character in that font; which looks terrible IMO when using it for such things as the Space Tool. So I found the downloadable fonts at webpage above, and so far, they are working great! Architxt looks exactly like the font that ACAD uses!
  14. I just tried it with VW 2008, and got it to work. Try restarting VW or creating a new blank document and insert a door.
  15. Are you using VW 2009? If so, I can tell you that the Door Tool is not in the Plug-in Editor, because they (tech support) said that the door tool is using c++ in 2009, and cannot be edited. I think that is what you're asking, but I've been wrong once before.
  16. Note: Fonts are in the last thread of the above webpage
  17. I actually found some truetype font files at the bottom of the following webpage!! I thought I might share these with others! Just download them and install them into your WINDOWS/Fonts folder then restart VW if currently open. Enjoy!! http://www.revitcity.com/forums.php?action=viewthread&thread_id=2998

  19. I appreciate the quick responses. Thanks, Peter for the website. But I'm looking for something that is possibly free to download...
  20. A little off topic, but what font is that you're using, Peter? I've been looking for something like that. I've used Technical, and had problems with it exporting to Adobe; and we have since switched over to Archie, which I got off of the VW website. But there's WAY too much empty space above the font, which makes spacing very complicated. Is there any way I could get that font? Thanks a Mill!
  21. If you go to Vectorworks2009/Extras/Goodies/ you will find documents that have scripts written that allow you to animate 2d objects. Is there a way to animate 3D objects?? If so, how? I'm relatively new at Vectorscript writing.
  22. Does anybody know how to change the parameters of door object in VW2009? It's not in the Vectorscript Editor anymore. Tech Support said it's a C++ now, whatever that means. I want to customize the way the schedule looks, like in ALL CAPS, for one, without having to 'workaround' and export the schedule to a text file and importing the text file into excel, then blah, blah, blah...
