plessey mathews
I am a total outsider to Vectorworks. We are a DWG / Window shop. I received a few MCD extension files from the boss who asked me to print them. I went and downloaded the viewer for Vector Works 12 and it gave me a message "This file is in a format that is too old to be read by this version" I then downloaded and installed for VW version 9.5.2 to 11.5 and all of them gave the same error, except 9.5.2 viewer which gave the error - "This file is not the same version as the application you are running, so the file cannot be opened. I opened it in notepad and saw the words "Interactive Renderer" in the file among the ASCII/binary stuff. Can any one help me out and check if this really is a VW file. First MCD file to open. I have 5 more and each one is about 30-38KB. Thanks a lot. 52Bromp1.mcd 52Bromp2.mcd 52Bromp5.mcd 52Bromp3.mcd 52Bromp4.mcd Plessey Edited November 5, 2007 by plessey mathews Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
VW 13 (v2008) opens them and thinks they're version 8 files. Quote Link to comment
jan15
There wasn't a viewer until v9, and it won't open older version files. Here's a zip file with v2000 DWG files of your drawings. Plot object lineweights, no plot style table needed. Dwg2000 Quote Link to comment
