Mac viewer for /PLT files, slightly OT

We have some .plt files from a consultant (ACAD?), and would like to view them.

Anyone know a viewer for the Mac OC that will view PLT files, or can VW import .PLT files?

A plt file is used for printing only. You need a printing application that will send the plt files to the printer.

If you want to view the work of a consultant, have them send you the dxf/dwg file.

GraphicConverter, of course! Everyone should have GC - the Swiss Army Knife of graphics.

You can then save the file in practically any (raster) format.

GC will view them, but they are a low quality, and flipped, (like looking at the back of the sheet). Problem with the PLT file, or the GC?

GC version is 6.0.1, trial.

Hmmm... I'm sure Thorsten Lemke would like to see the problem file!

Low quality: well, they are rasterized. I wonder if Lemkesoft's CADintosh would be better.

To keep .plt files in vector format on the Mac, I have used both Cadintosh (Demo Version), and CorelDraw.

CorelDraw is something I bought _just_ for the .plt file Import/Export. Like Cadintosh, it allows conversion to DXF.

Ooh, CADintosh is so expensive! A whopping USD 32 - can you believe it! Clever people save heaps of money by buying CorelDraw: it costs only USD 400...
