Plant Symbols attributes like shadows and outlines not showing or printing

I have Vectorworks 2008 on PC XP2 and the plant symbols attributes like shadows and outlines are not showing or printing. I have set the attributes under the Rendering in the Edit Plant Definition. I am in the Top/Plan view also. The Ver 12.5 Trial does not show the shadows on the plant symbols either.

It was not change the attributes of already placed plants. It does work on new creations of the plant symbols only.

If you have defined a plant as having a shadow you must turn that shadow on. If the plant object has already been placed select it (or select multiple plant objects). and in the Object Info Pallet check the box named 2D plant rendering.

At this point they should display. If not check the settings for the shadow (eg size) to ensure that it will display on screen. I believe that shadow is a page units and not at world units, so use a value like 10 mm or 1/3" and not a value like 3m or 10'.
