Curved Curtains

Hi All,

Can anyone tell how I can make a curved curtain using the curtain tool in spotlight. I have searched the help files and this forum and can't see anything.

Nigel -

The stock curtain won't do it. Give the files I have posted at www.landrudesign.com/LandruCurtain.zip a try.

To use, copy both files into your Plug-Ins folder. Add "Curtain From..." to your WorkSpace. (It is a menu item.) Draw an arc representing your curtain. W. it selected, run "Curtain From..." Your arc will be turned into a curtain PIO w. adjustable parameters.

Let me know how this works for you...

PS. Do you have one that does scallops on valances and Austrian drapes?

Sorry, no. The closest thing that I'd have is the Austrian texture elsewhere on my site: http://www.landrudesign.com/Downloads_Main.htm.

That's a very cool tool. I do have one silly question.

Can I combine an arc and a line to make one curtain instead of having two?

At this time the tool will only work on one object at a time - so, you'll have to create 2 separate objects.
