Dieter @ DWorks
can you have an endless line? are there workarounds? if not, please put it on the wishlist, because it would be very handy. Quote Link to comment
Guest
I'll add it ... but out of curiosity, why? Quote Link to comment
Dieter @ DWorks
it very handy for 'helping lines' like when you draw some things next to each other but the refer to some same heights. and every time i add some i have to make those helping lines longer. mostly this is for doing some elevations from a section cut. i know that you can get them with vp and all, and i really use them, but some architects i work for want them on a sheet layer, so i need to draw them apart. and then those lines are very handy. Ray Libby
VectorWorks Preferences > Edit tab > check "Snap to loci". Place a locus on your drawing and you will have endless lines. You would probably want to create a script to toggle this on and off. Quote Link to comment
Guest
I started to request the snap to loci, but you get both a horizontal and horizontal dashed "line". In addition, you can't set it an at angle or use as part of an object. You also get the extending points on all visible locus points. If you have doors/windows and other symbols, you'll end up with extension lines all over the place. Quote Link to comment
islandmon
As note >Snap to Loci can become rather confusing... You may want to give the > "Full Screen Curser" a try ... Quote Link to comment
acepernich
Or draw your guide line and give it a ridiculous length in the OI palette - you can always increase the length there in either or both directions. Edited June 19, 2007 by Antone Cepernich Quote Link to comment
