rocitop
It seems there should be an easy way to do this but I cant think of it. My problem is I would like to create a circuit map for a venue. I know the range of circuits and the spacing, is there any way to make one text box with the starting dimmer and then duplicate array so the spacing and numbering is correct? The spacing is constant as is the numbering. I guess I would only have to do this once so it?s not critical but such a feature might have other uses. Quote Link to comment
Ericoxer
As far as i know there is no tool for this . . .but you can cheat! Create a box (or however you want your dimmer to look) and turn it into a symbol. Create a label legend for this "circuit" using a blank user field. Make it look as pretty as you like. Then place the "circuit" as (an) instrument(s). Select a group (say all the ones on the first electric) go to Modify>Find and Modify. Find all lights whose selection status is true. Renumber the *Userfiled #* from Left to Right (or however) starting at *the first circuit number* Repeat as needed. Make sense? Quote Link to comment

Cris with no H
Just don't forget to Ungroup those units down to basic rectangle and text objects, or else they'll show up in your paperwork. Personally, I would set my snap grid to whatever spacing needed and go to town with the Number Stamp tool. Cris Dopher Quote Link to comment
