CRSA_890
I am having a problem viewing renderings from VW 12.5.1 and tried to solve it by exporting under different codecs. I am running Mac os 10.4.7, on a Mac Pro 2.66 Ghz, 2 GB RAM, and the 7300 video card. The first was the 'video' setting, which resulted in the image shown, when played in VLC 0.8.6a. The movie would not play and errors came out stating computer was to slow? Dropping frames. THis codec is RPZA? I tried under MPEG-4, and it was still slanted, but actually played. Under QuickTime everything is fine. So I am assuming it is a VLC thing. My main question for VW. When I try to export a wireframe animation using H 264, 2 frames render and an error stating "An unknown Error ID# -8960 has occurred" I hit OK, then I get the msg that the file was saved with 2 frames. I tried it with a new file, from scratch, same thing, 2 frames. Thoughts on the error code? Thanks Spinner TheVLC forum: http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?t=32843 Quote Link to comment
islandmon
Keeping in mind that H264 is a compression algorithm designed specifically for use at various preset frame sizes & rates and that there's a reported H264 bug in VLC which is fixed in v8.6A. Why are you not using QuickTime 7.1.3 which also fixed a few H264 bugs ? Quote Link to comment
CRSA_890
We were trying to get a full screen feature to do a presentation, without spending for the PRO version of QT. QT works fine, just wanted to try VLC. VW still crashes with h.264 rendering compression. Thanks, Spinner Quote Link to comment
