chugger127
I'm trying to rotate a piece of truss in the front view and can't seem to get it using the usual rotation methods. For example, if I'm looking at my stage from the front, I'd like my truss piece to have one end on the stage floor and the other end 45 degrees in the air. Every time I click on the rotate tool, it automatically switches to the Plan view. Quote Link to comment
J. Miller
Are you using the Spotlight truss tool ? If so you need to edit the Hanging angle in the OIP to "rake" the truss. Quote Link to comment
chugger127
Awesome. That helps so much!! No how do I do the same thing with curved truss? Quote Link to comment
Ericoxer
In short, you cant. I've always created my circle truss, clicked the draw 3d only. I then change views and rotate the truss as needed. Before you do anything else, make it a hanging position (or a symbol if you dont plan on hanging lights on it) to get it out of the truss OIP (otherwise the truss will just revert back to being horizontal) and then create a 2D symbol so you can see where it is in plan view. Not to overly complicated. Quote Link to comment
