renderworks camera control through a symbol

I love the renderworks camera. Since I work mostly in an industry where we have actual cameras, I'm pondering how to put a renderworks camera inside a symbol of a television camera (which is important for space allocation purposes) and be able to activate and control the camera. Is this possible?

Also, while I'm at it....depth of field? Love to have that too.
