chstech
Is there any way to edit (spreadsheet style) a bunch of symbols with Record Info? What I am trying to do is the following, I have a plot with about 45 Motor Symbols. The symbol has a Record attached to it and within the symbol there is text links to certain fields. I would like to drop in the motors where the need to go, number them as you would a lighting inst. then go to some sort of an editable worksheet that has my motor record info and edit all the info. Then have the plot update. Any Ideas? Thanks, Drew Quote Link to comment
Thea
Try inserting them as instruments and making a label legend that has what you need on it. Quote Link to comment
Mickey
You're asking for an editable worksheet for symbols that have text linked torecords. That would require each symbol to have it's own unique id. I don't think symbols do that. You could make it a light fixture, and then use the spotlight generate paperwork function. I played around with genereting a worksheet. It sort of worked. The worksheet exported all the text into rows and columns, but I couldn't figure out how to edit an individual line. So in the end no. Quote Link to comment
