Associative Dims

It does not seem that you can associate a diminsion to a wall cavity. They only associate when you diminsion to the face of wall. Since most dims are to the framing, most of my dims are non associative! Is there something I'm missing?

No. Currently, dimensions cannot be associated with wall components (formerly called cavities).

Perhaps the way walls are defined needs to be changed so that you can dimension to the wall core. ie masonary wall less the external render and internal plaster, or timber studs less the external and internal linings.

The better option would be to have the option of choosing either way.

Yes, this is a major pain - it basiccally means that associative dims are usually useless because you are normally dimensioning to framing. How about putting this in the queue for updates.
