LarryAZ
You gave us this really nice J-bolt but why doesn't it have a nut? I have this real nice detail of the bolt with a rectangle on top. =-) Quote Link to comment
Benson Shaw
There is a cool 3d nut symbol. Like the j-bolt it can be altered in the OIP - type, size, view, etc. It's in the Machine Design sample objects folder along with a bunch of bolts, washers, gears, springs and things. It is included with Fundamentals and all the Industry Series modules. To find it, activate your Resource Browser Palette (Menu/Window/Palettes/Resource Browser) and click the box in the Files and Folders line. This opens a menu (pull down? pop up?). Select the "Browse a Document" option and click the folders on this path: VectorWorks 12/Libraries/VectorWorks Basic/VectorWorks Machine Design Sampler.mcd Click the "OPEN" button and all the Machanical sample symbols will show in your Resorce Browser palette (only in the current drawing file). Dbl click the nut symbol in the RB palette. Then click in your drawing. First click places the symbol, second click sets its attitude/orientation. Next click will place another copy of the symbol, etc. To stop adding nut symbols, click your selection arrow in tool palette (or other tool). On your drawing, select the nut object to move or rotate it . Change its variables in the Object Info Palette. enjoy -B Quote Link to comment
