dashed style lines in 3d

bonus

Question

I understand from previous discussions that dashed style lines only work in 2d - when will we get all line styles in 3D?

By our standards plan views are always presented as a horizontal section 1,20 m above the z=0 level. Whatever is hidden looking down will have a dashed line, whatever is behind you (or above 1.20m) willl have a dot-line presentation. Only visible edges have continious lines.

If this information gets lost, complex drawings become a mess.

My wish is:

1. at least - all line styles to remain intact after extrusion.

2. even better - lines automatically to switch depending on the z-level of the object. The offset level (1,20) to be set individually. Setting of line styles at wish.

The same goes for the fillings that disappear when the object is extruded.

thank you mike

I just made a quick try - but yes it looks right to me, this far.

In top/plan it's original object visibilities are intact.

In all 3D views it's in continious line - perfect!

Question to NNA:

Why is this not the default function of "extrude"?
