Editing imported geometry from Sketchup

Recommended Posts

Hi!
I have ran into a small problem. I've imported a set design from sketchUp into VW, and the carpenters now told me that the general width of the design is somewhat smaller.
So, I want to cut out a section right down the middle of the design with a width of 550mm. Problem is, I just can't seem to figure out how! I've tried cut/slice tool, making an extruded box and the "subtract solids" function, etc. Also, being imported geometry, I find it difficult to both edit the model and retain texture, etc.

Any quick solution to this?? VW-File included.

It's going to be tricky with those 3d polygons from Sketchup. Faster would be to remodel it, it's pretty straightforward.

Quick and easy is to create a Section Viewport of one half -275mm and mirror it (I did this in the attached of all the Design Layers except the Logo which remains intact)
