I am trying to sort out how to use the Chain extrude tool that sit in Building Shell Tool Box. The goal is to create dentals on a crown molding. I've watched the only 2 youtube videos out there and read the instructions from the vectorworks website but every time I attempt i get the same error message "No Valid objects were selected to form the profile. Edit the profile group to modify the temporary objects that were created"
what am I missing here, should the object selected to be the chain be a 2D polygon, 3D object, do I need 2 objects to make this work? Anythign would be helpful, there not much info out there
