alxb
Décalage truss.pdfHello, When I'm using straight truss tool, the truss can't be a truss system. An other thing is that when I attache a hoist or dead hung to a truss that is 90° degree rotated ( up-down), there is an offset between the drop point and the truss. It isn't the case when I'm using truss tool. I would like to use a generic 2 pipes flate truss as the pipes are in my theater and hang under some truss. How should I do ? Thanks and have a nice afternoon alex Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee jcogdell Posted September 26, 2023 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 26, 2023 Once you have drawn the straight truss you will need to give a roll angle of -90° to correctly orientate it before adding hoists or lights. While looking at this I've noticed after roling the truss that in top/plan the 2D geometry doesn't display correctly and the autocconnect highlight is offset from the 2D geometry, despite being correct oin 3D views. I'll add a bug report. You may get better results by using the truss tool with a standard 2 chord truss, just use a model of truss that has similar dimensions to what is hung in your venue.
