Windoor - Followed University video, door halway down

Hi All,

 

I looked at the university video on how to create custom leaf symbols to use in windoor. When I place my symbol in the windoor, it places it halfway down the frame.

How can I stop this from happening? What am I doing wrong?

In the Resource browser, find your leaf symbol, right click and choose "edit 3d component"

Select the components and move them up in 3d so that the bottom of your component is at 0.

You may need to experiment a little with this to get the height correct.

Thanks Matt, I've played around with it a bit - am just not sure why it doesn't auytomatically insert at the correct heigh, as per the university video:

I solved my own problem!

 

When I was creating the symbol, I was taking it as a 3D object from a right isometric view. In order to place the symbol; within the WinDoor, I needed to create the symbol as a top 2D view instead.
