including classes as layers in 3d pdf - is this possible?

does anyone know if this is possible and what the technique might be for generating a 3D pdf with layers with classes representing those layers?

I am pretty sure that is impossible !

As the large majority of CAD Apps has Layers only.

I would expect that 3PDF Export from VW asks, like for DWG export,

to transfer EITHER Layer OR Classes to 3D PDF.

With DWG, you can translate Classes as DWG Layers and on the other

hand, optionally export each Layer as a separate file.

For 3D PDF, that may just be a weak workaround, as I expect there

is no Adobe Reader option to open or reference multiple 3D PDF into

a master file ?

I was able to generate the 3d pdf easily enough, but there were no options in the export function to address including layers or classes as layers in the pdf.

Bluebeam Revu didn't show any layers other than the primary layer but that was probably a default arrangement in Revu because there was no name applied to said layer.
