rrsweetnam
HOW CAN I SET UP MY DOCUMENT TO ALWAYS SHOW THE SCALE IN FEET/INCHES WHEN APPLICABLE? THIS IS IN THE TITLE BLOCK SHEET LAYER DATA. IE: 1/4" = 1'-0" AND NOT 1:48. Edited January 12, 2023 by rrsweetnam Quote Link to comment
Jeff Prince
Set your document's units to "feet & inches", "feet", or "inches" Set your viewport to an appropriate architectural scale Update the scale for the sheet in the titleblock's Sheet Settings by hitting the update button for scale. Your title block should be using linked text "Sheet Data.Scale" If your units are not set to the above, you will get a scale ratio instead of the traditional display you desire. 3 Quote Link to comment

This method does not work. The default scale format is 1:48. Quote Link to comment

I'm even using 2024. The only difference we have is in the style of title block. Quote Link to comment

Patrick Thompson
It was working prior to the SP7 release. Now it defaults to Engineering and it will not revert back... If that helps Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Nikolay Zhelyazkov Posted October 24, 2023 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted October 24, 2023 Hello @Patrick Thompson, Could it be that you have selected to always use the selected option? If so, you can open Vectorworks Preferences and then in Sessions tab click on Reset Saved Settings... to clear this. Keep in mind that this will also clear any other saved settings that you have. Let me know if this helps. Best Regards, Nikolay Zhelyazkov Quote Link to comment
Patrick Thompson
It was an issue with not having a drawing label for the scale to reference so it defaults to engineering values even though your drop down scale is in feet and Inches. It could be a function of our title block data... Quote Link to comment
