maiz02
Hi, I created a section from a 3d model in Vectorworks but only the parts where the cutting line meets objects is in color. I'd like the whole section to be in the colors of the 3d model, is there a way to change that? I already tried to changed the attributes in the section settings but it doesn't work... Thank you :) Quote Link to comment
michaelk
If you are in Shaded render mode you should see the color/texture. Are you looking at a section with a Sheet Layer Section Viewport? On a Design Layer Section Viewport? A clip cube? Take a look in the OIP of the section viewport > Advanced Properties > Attributes. There is a lot of fun to be had controlling the attributes of the section cut and the background. To make it even more fun, objects that have components like walls, roofs, and slabs can control their own section attributes. Post back if that doesn't answer your question. Quote Link to comment
maiz02
@michaelkThanks for your answer. Im working with a sheet layer. I'm not sure why, but Vectorworks doesn't allow me to switch to shaded render mode. Do you know why that is by any chance? Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Make sure you are changing the rendering in the OIP of the viewport, not the rendering from the menu or the menu shortcut. Once you are on a sheet layer every viewport can have it's own render mode. Quote Link to comment
