Thom
Ed I am looking to hire a subconsultant to provide presentation dwg. My workload is too great to spend time creating the actual presentation dwg. I will generate all site planning dwgs., etc. This is not a request for freebies. Quote Link to comment
islandmon
Tv.. there's nothing wrong with requesting advise from the knowledge base of exprienced users. The only issue is whether you seek free consultations which is readily given on these boards or a more personalized service. My experreince is that once off the boards advise is offered then it sometimes becomes an open door for extended and unwarranted additional requests for free consultations, error checking, project reviews and other time consuming issues. islandmon
Tv ... DTM and Site renderings can become very involved. I've done many over the years. Even the simplest little rendering of a single commercial building can requires hours of preparation and setup with textures, models, image props and lighting conditions. Believe me I understand where you are coming from and wish I could empoly someone with the necessary skills to do it for me as well. I think the problem rests squarely with the clients who are now so media savvy and accustomed to photorealism that they just expect to have it as part of the project regardless of the time & cost to the A&E professionals. Actually, I long for the old days when Artistic Rendering was considered an extra handled by a graphic artist or architectural rendering specialist. Quote Link to comment
