lisagravy
Say I have a circular pad raised above the existing (sloping) site model. I want the ground from that pad to grade at 1:2 to meet the existing landform. Is there a way to do this using the grade tool? It looks like I need to know the length of the grade to make this work - where I was hoping there was a quick setting I could use to calculate it for me! And essentially establish grade limits. Popular Post lisagravy
Ok soooo - helped out by the fantastic @Katarina Ollikainen. The answer to this at the moment is a bit of a workaround. You can use the grade tool on 'use grade object heights' mode, to create a 3D line at the desired grade which intersects the existing site model. (Ensuring it's coloured with a fill to make sure it's visible in 3D view.) Then, create a 3D loci at the intersection of the grade line and the existing site model, and adjust the length of the grade line to meet that 3D loci point. Then the mode of the grade modifier can be adjusted to 'change site model (use grade as pad modifier). 5 Quote Link to comment
