"CUBIC" gallon - is that 10 pounds of water or 8 American pints (16oz) β€‹πŸ™ƒβ€‹

Recommended Posts

What an odd term, and yes a volume measure - 3.785 litres for us Gallon, 8.327 pounds. At least the Americans have a 'normal' ounce and pound! Quite a few airplane crashes caused by US/UK gallon (4.546 litres 10.01 pounds) measures - as well as litre/US and UK gallon conversion errors.

Β

Time for a change America - 4% of worlds population use inches, gallons, miles...Β  - still hanging on to imperialism.

Yeah, I wonder why it is that they short change the buyer 4oz when you buy a pint there?

I can't imagine that shrink-flation πŸ€‘ was a good business concept back when they enacted those standards.

Especially when it seems their pints are already watered down. 🀣🀣
