Hello lovely community, I was wondering if there was a way to link project info to a google sheet or excel file? The dream would be something like sending a google form to our PM's to fill out which would populate a G-sheet which could be pointed to a new Vectorworks project file and auto-populate the Project Data info. Would be a great kick-off solution for fast-pace projects common among entertainment. If there's not an integration method, would there be a way to 'import' Project Data so that I could do this somewhat manually? Ideas what would be amazing to have auto-populate: Project Name Client Job# Location Address Show Date Load-In Wrap-Out Project Manager Senior Technical Director Project Start Date
Help we have a new issue that is plaguing us. We have our title block styles within our workgroup and we use a library file in there to keep title blocks / classes etc current for everyone. Just recently, whenever our 'Library Standards' reference file is updated where the title block styles live, our drawings lose all the Project Data (project name, project ID and a bespoke Client name field) and these fields revert to defaults, but the individual sheet data is retained. This is not a class issue, as re-entering the project data will display it until the next reference update. This is definitely new behaviour, has worked seamlessly before. In editing title block, link value and parameters appear correct. Any ideas what has gone wrong? Vectorworks 2022, sp5, problem apparent across a number of different Macs, both M1 and intel processors.
For anyone else who hasn't figured this out yet: I've noticed that the File Name in project data (for Title Blocks) doesn't always refresh or populate properly. If you go into Title Block Border Settings --> Project Data and then cycle the "Include file path in File Name" button, it will refresh and show the proper name. Seeing this as a problem in all files... so I imagine this is a bug?
