Patrick, did you update the video drivers from the laptop's or the video card manufacturer? Checking on Intel they have a driver dated 9/15/2009

The good news is that Vectorworks 2010 is supporting the latest available version of Windows 7, unless something changes on release date on October. Word of caution update video drivers to Windows 7 drivers.

Some of you may have experienced problems with the Vectorworks 2009 Service Pack 2 updater between 5:30 PM EST on 12/18/2008 and 11:25 AM EST on 12/19/2008. This was due to a server-side issue that has been resolved. The Automatic Update service has been re-enabled and you should now be able to either download or re-run and install the Service Pack 2 patch without any further issues.

If you are running OS 10.5 you may want to upgrade to VW 2008, in the other hand if your PowerMac G4 is printing in Mac OS X, share the printer and try it from one of your new iMac's. Also, try to emulate the drivers using HP 800 or even HP 450C from the printer list(OS X). I could not find any printer driver support for Mac OS X 10.4 or 10.5 for HP DJ 500.

Check or uncheck "Quartz Imaging" go to: Tools> Options> VW preferences>Display Tab

Let me take this opportunity to remind you to turn on the Error Reporting option from the Vectorworks preferences, this allows NNA engineering to see details of any crashes very quickly.
