Apparently the newest OSX (Tiger) coming out (I think next Spring) is supposed to take more advantage of the 64 bit processing, even if the app is not programed for it. Also, I am sure that VW will be updated to work better with the G5s.

Seems my file sizes are huge... And I am sending to clients who in turn print. Maybe I will explore further. Thanks

Worksheet is ideal. What I really want to do is set up a worksheet listing all the symbols in the drawing, and listing the colors assigned to that class or symbol.

Is there a way to create an automatic list of all the colours chosen on classes or symbols, from a report?

Having problems getting a 1" dia circle to extrude to a 1.5" x .5" oval x 1/4". I am trying the multiple extrude feature, and it seems to be extruding to the wrong points, narrowing in the middle. Any ideas?

I had a demo for a while from SolidWorks, they had a nice 'welding' tool that you can visually see the welds on a part. Any tool like this in VW?

I refer all the time back to the training CDS. Then I contact Tech. I'm new as well, but I am getting the hang of it. Biggest challenges I had was wrapping my head around the Resource Browser.

I would like to create an array or a series of exact objects along an irregular path. Is there an easy way to do this?

I am an inexperienced AutoCad 04 user on PC, and I made the 'risk' of going against industry standard and jumping to Mac and Vectorworks. Probably the best decision I have made. No more unstable PC probs, and VW is a great software pckg. VW is WAY easier to use, WAY better results, WAY better value. Even if I stayed with PC, I would buy again. Tech support is also good.

I agree also. There can easily be a better way to design the resource browser that makes more logical sense, and is easier to use.

I have similar information to be used in multiple sheets. (parts of a title block) Can I link text that I put on one sheet to be duplicated automatically throughout other sheets? Can I automatically link text items to things like filenames etc?

It would be nice to have more 3D options, like export to 3DS, or Max, and even Cinema 4D.

I am a new user, and I am beginning to develop our library of all of our different manufactured parts. What I want to do is have 2 seperate material take-offs, 1: Material List for the actual created symbol. This I would use in my fabrication sheet layer for the individual symbol showing how to fab the individual symbol. 2: I use all these symbols to create a project. This project is to have the symbols list in a presentation sheet. In this I dont want to show all the little items to fab this symbol, just the symbols used. Suggestions? Thanks

I am looking to extrude text placed in VW, so I can add or remove solids, like in a casting where text is recessed or raised. This probably has been covered before. Is there a way I can convert text and fonts to likes that can be extruded?

When I open up a project that I was working on, I am trying to switch to different views (top/side/iso) nothing works, it stays on the same view. Also when I switch from OpenGL to Wireframe it also doesnt work ... stays in OpenGL. Wierd Any ideas?

I am modelling a piece of 3/4" plastic that has a real size of about 4'x4'. On this plastic sheet are irregular objects being cut out by a CNC machine. I am only 1/3 of the way done removing the solids to make a block accurate to our finished product, and the file is around 145 megs. This will ultimately be stored as a symbol to be used frequently in other projects. Is there a way I can save the file without any history so I can hopefully save some space. This is way to huge, and I am not even done cutting out the rest of the solids yet. Thanks!
