  1. Yep, these both seem to be fixes for this problem. That is a very strange bug indeed. Thank you!
  2. For what it's worth, I've been experiencing a similar-ish issue since I moved to SP4 of 2024. I'm running Windows 10, and now when I launch the software there seems to be a 50% chance that it launches in a sluggish and unresponsive manner. The UI will be near-completely unresponsive, and task manager will show VW as using about 80% of my computer's 16GB of memory. It also shows 9 or 10 processes running nested inside "Vectorworks 2024 Application". One or two relaunches has fixed this every time. My macbook, also on 2024 SP4, does not have this issue. I assume this is something related to the "new" UI for Windows in 2024.
  3. Hello all, I have a Sheet Layer that looks like this: The two sections are views from the design layer space, and the set (drawn blue) and high steel (drawn light grey) is from a further Section Viewport of the 3D scenic/house model in the draft. When I Publish, the Section Viewport does not show up, but every other object in the file publishes correctly. The PDF invariably looks like this: I have restarted vwx, switched computers, switched operating systems, and checked every option I can think of. The vwx file in question is attached. Am I going crazy? Thank you, Stephen LFN 2024 Lighting Plot SJS.vwx
  4. When I assign a lighting device a focus point and move it where I want, the focus of the light will not pan to hit the focus point. Only the tilt will update correctly. It seems as though the light is focusing to the nearest point on an imaginary line originating at the focus point that matches the Z rotation of the lighting device. This problem exists with my modified fixture symbols, which I have used for several years. This problem only appeared in vectorworks 2023, and these symbols worked fine in vw2022. Imported symbols from the library do not have this problem. This problem persists and remains consistent after moving and rotating the lighting device any number of times, and it persists and remains consistent through vectorworks reboots and starting a blank file. Additionally, another problem that did not exist with these symbols in vw2022: In 3d views the 'body' part of the 3d symbol rotates incorrectly around the 'yoke' and 'base' parts, and the light emits from the insertion point, not the locus within the body. Is this something obvious that i'm missing? Did something in the way Lighting Devices are constructed change between vw2022 and vw2023? I've attached a sample 2023 vwx file with a symbol that demonstrates the problems. I'm hoping the solution is not that I have to remake my lighting device symbols.VW-FocusProblem.vwx Thank you.
