I'm trying to use the typical symbol in an equipment summary key VW2024 Update 4. There appears to be some issues getting the symbol to display properly. I'f I select the default label legged for the typical symbol (As I would have done in the past) All I get are the labels themselves, so default fixture body and no containers. I can select the fixture body instead of the default label legend, and I see that, but then no labels. and still no containers. It almost seems as if I need a way to show certain classes in the Equipment Summary Key. Is this a known bug, or is there something that I'm missing? Thanks! 06 Reports.vwx

Hi all, I'm new to Marionette and I'm trying to figure out if what I'm trying to do is even possible before I go down the rabbit hole trying to figure out how to actually do it. I'm trying to create a backing plate for an edge lit LED sign. My research is telling me that I want to CNC engrave a piece of plexiglass with little circles, but those circles want to be closer together as they get further from the edge of the plexi (and therefore the light source) I an thinking that I can modify the tutorial that placed locus points within a closed polyline. To place a symbol of the circle to CNC within a rectangle (the outline of the plexi). So far I can place the Symbols in a grid, but not sure where two go from here to alter the spacing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Has there been anything further on this? I'm having a similar problem with PDF's on 2021 for Mac. The imported PDF shows up with a white background on the sheet layer and when published to a PDF, but if I publish to a printer or print the PDF its background is black.

I seem to be having the same issue. Numbering starts at 9001 on every layer. These are two different design layers in the same file.

Unfortunately this isn't working for me either. I'll just turn the labels off and go without. Thanks anyway. Perhaps this could also go on the wish list? Or even turning off labels on one end or the other (similar to spotlight cables) Ryan

Great tip, however in this case they are overlapping with each other, so I don't think that will solve my issue.

Hi All, I'm very new to connectCAD, although I've been using Vectorworks for years. So far I'm really enjoying the upgrade, and I've been finding answers to many of my questions in the forum here. I have a few that I have not been able to find. I have some circuit numbers that are overlapping and I was wondering if its possible to override the position of the labels somehow (kind of like label legends for lighting fixtures) It would also be extremely helpful for me to be able to have wire gauge and voltage drop calculations available for connections (similar to spotlight cable tools) I don't suppose that is a quick fix, but more of a Wishlist item for future updates. Ryan

Thanks Brandon, I did have the cable drawn on a class that was the correct color, I did just solve the problem. For anyone else that may be experiencing a similar issue... the document preferences had the Black and White only setting turned on. (Someone else was working on the file before me.)

I would like to color code my cables that I'm adding in with the cable tool, I have them set to use class color, and "set on creation" is turned on, in my class settings, but all of the cables still seem to come out black. They are in the correct color while I draw them, but as soon as I double click to complete the cable, it reverts to black. The attributes panel still has it in the correct color. I'm running VW2018 SP3. I assume that this has to do with the auto classing, but the "extra" classes seem to be only for labels. (Side note they too appear in black even though the sub classes are also set to be in a color. Has anyone else run into this? Any thoughts? Thanks, Ryan
