@Ridder Thanks for mentioning that, the (black) textures for the lighting device bodies have their cast shadows flag turned off in Vectorworks for that reason. Maybe they need to be turned off in the Unreal materials.

Hi,
I was wondering if there are any plans for the near future to expand on the export options to Omniverse regarding the export of light fixture data? If you export a fixture to Omniverse it only exports the geometry and not the light and fixture info. Would be great to have this option available to be able to export a light design straight to Omniverse / Unreal
Thnx
Cheers,
Ridder
Hello @Ridder Yes we plan to add support for export of lights. Not all lights types are supported in USD but we will send over what is possible.
For Unreal, you can use Datasmith and MVR export together. Export Datasmith, then export MVR into the Datasmith "assets" folder. There is an Import MVR plugin available in the latest Unreal that will combine the Datasmith geometry and MVR metadata to connect everything together in Unreal for pre-viz workflows.

Shouldn't these be appearing in the Recent Changes > Vectorworks 2023 > New Menu Items list...?
Hello Tom W: We only have major version for this not minor versions, but I will add that support as a wish considering we are adding new features in service packs these days.

Big Sur (macOS 11) is the minimum OS for Vectorworks 2023 and is not supported by Apple on the Mac Pro 5,1. To install macOS 11 on the Mac Pro 5,1 requires some special tricks.
I am looking for where to add the AVX requirement to the system requirements document, but the minimum OS requirement is also a factor here related to support for Mac Pro 5,1 from 2010-2013.
AFAIK the late 2013 Mac Pro which does support macOS 11 is the "trash can" model and a completely different generation than 2010-2013 5,1.

I am not happy about the change in Web View, I use this feature often.. it was a simple way to communicate with clients and technicians, it was easily branded with Company logo so it looks slick.
Like this: https://tinyurl.com/y7vuwwhp
The new interface is Terrible, not very intuitive, and some geometry is missing;

Hello @mcochran7 Can you email the VWX file to us so we can investigate this?
