  1. Jim, thanks. This issue is not file specific. It is version specific. All 2016 files that I open in 2017 have this issue. I've verified this with a half dozen different files as well as my 2016 template file. When importing layers, does the same hold true for sheets? I.e., do I do that in the same operation, or is it separate?
  2. That's great. How long does it usually take to issue a patch like that?
  3. Here's a video I made of this in action. Callout_Note_Issue.mov
  4. Jim, I opened a blank 2017 document and was not able to duplicate the issue. It seems to be an issue with 2016 files that are imported to 2017. Since I have A LOT of active projects in 2016 that I'd like to get moved over I hope this is an issue that can be easily resolved. I have also discovered that my template file, when opened in 2017, has the same issue with the callout tool. Not cool. I really don't want to have to recreate my entire template file.
  5. I haven't tried that yet. Today is not a good day for troubleshooting. :-\
  6. I don't have any small files. I can send a dropbox link only. See below. https://www.dropbox.com/s/j9wjnubyaktqg7t/Widen Residence v2017.vwx?dl=0
  7. It is not file specific. Only thing I have not tried is creating a new 2017 file. These are all imported 2016 files this is happening in.
  8. So, downloaded VW Architect 2017 yesterday (very excited). Been in it last two days and my callout tool is all screwy. When I try to place a callout to the right hand side of an object it automatically moves the callout to the left side (basically a mirror). Also, when I try to place an angled leader line, to either direction, once I'm done with text it automatically straightens the leader line moving away from the object I'm notating. Anyone else have this issue?
  9. OK. I've now been a VW Architect user for more than 3 years. In that time I got very comfortable and was happy with the Custom Stair Tool, which is now a legacy tool no longer supported. I've been asked "why wouldn't I just use the Stair Tool". The reason is simple - the custom stair tool is far superior and allows me to much more quickly create a stair and handrail that looks the way I want it to (2D and 3D) with very little fuss. The stair tool, in contrast, is incredibly cumbersome, has too many menu options and takes far longer than is practical to create even the most basic stair for a model. PLEASE BRING BACK THE CUSTOM STAIR TOOL!!!! As a practicing architect I need to be able to QUICKLY and EFFICIENTLY navigate through as few menu options as possible to create objects and the 2D appearance is far more important than the 3D appearance during schematics through construction documents. If I'm doing a rendering I can screw around with custom handrails and nosings and whatever else. Again, PLEASE BRING BACK THE CUSTOM STAIR TOOL!!!! I BEG YOU!!
