If we could choose diferent tones for the diferent snapping points, we could make music I'll try using sound for a while to see if it helps me
-
Hi I was wondering how many VW users enable the "use sound" option while designing. I prefer hearing music Is VW the only CAD software with this option? The snapping sound tone havent change since Minicad right? joey

I've been wondering how to do this for a long long time..thanks!
-
Thats what I have been doing lately... takes me some time to choose the right color. I know VW is not an image editing program, but I think it would be nice to include this option

Hi everyone, just wondering if there is a way to use the eyedrooper tool to pick up colors from an imported image. thanks VW 2017

In 2017, the stacking order just works in top plan view... why it does not work on Front, Back, Sides.. elevations? -
send to front/back
joey altalef replied to joey altalef's question in Wishlist - Feature and Content Requests
What I forgot to mencion before, is why it was important (for me) the way send front/back worked in Vectorworks2010 and before. When you could control which object was in front or back in an isometric view (for example), it was easier to pick/click the object you wanted to modify. Now you just have to try or fly arround the objects and find a clear view of the object you want to click. It is very helpful whe you have a lot of different objects that overlap. In previos versions of Vectorworks it worked really well. -
When working on a 3D object (wireframe), the "send to front/back" option just works when on top view, it does not work on any other view. In previus versions of Vectorworks it used to work and was very usefull while working on complex 3d models. In the Pic#1, the black cube was sent to the front, but as seen in the pic, part of the green cube looks like it is in front. In the Pic# 2, I show that in top plan, it always work, but in elevation view, the first cube that I created always will be in front, and not the one I send to the front: in the pic B, the green cube was sent to the front, but in elevation, the black cube still looks like it was on front. thanks Vectorworks 2017 Sp2

Is there a way to make a viewport of a "clip cubed" view of an object? The only option I find is to make a section viewport. I would like to create an isometric viewport of a clip cubed object in varios planes.

3D Sectional Viewport (not perspective)

Hello Is there a way to make a viewport of a "clip cubed" view of an object? The only option I find is to make a section viewport. Here is a simple example I attached: In the first pic I show the whole element, and in the second picture, the element was clipped on three planes. I would like to make a viewport showing this isometric view of my clipped object. thanks Vectorworks 2017 SP2 -
I didnt create a separated surface...just seems odd that you can not add a decal to an object without ruining its texture..
-
-
So..before adding a decal, we have to create a surface...if not..not only the image will come throught the other side as you said but the texture of the object gets ruined. I guess it is easier to create and use an image prop..

question... everytime I add a decal, the image will be inserted perpendicular to the plane I want. Why is that?

Hi Alan how do I convert a symbol to an autohybrid?

Hi Pat...why is there a Monalisa in your basic tools palette?

Hi, How can I show the doors handles I choosed from the hardware list in my 2D plan? I can see them only in 3D.\ thanks Vectorworks 2017 SP2
