    as i remember (in the meantime we also switched to VW2016) most of the problems were gone. Sometimes with 2015 we had problems that some files have been marked as "the file is currently in use by xxx".

    We got rid of that by setting the user permissions on mac from normal user to administrative user. Vectroworks has been writing some settings to locations in the system folder to which the normal user wasn´t allowed to.

    After we switched to 2016 these problems also have gone.

    So finally - SMB is what we are using for all workstations.

     

    Is there a known issue in 2016 with Cameras?

    hi zoomer,

    i had this behaviour according to the cameras within the last three weeks in 3 projects.

    all 3 projects were started from scratch in VW2016.

    nothing that was copied from a previous version.

    mostly when i come across things like that, i do an export as textfile and reimport that into a new empty file, so that i can see if any error occurs. did this here also and no error came up.

    so i think that it may be related to some other things inside vw2016.

    i´ll see what Jim´s answer will be...

    maybe someone can confirm this.

    activate the straight truss tool

    do the first click somewhere

    hit the tab key to enter a value

    the floating bar changes to coordinates for entering the first point.

    somebody else get´s this?
