wimple
Hi, we've been getting funny boxes after carriage returns in text boxes. But only in eps'es exported from tiger. Tried everything ( well obviously not everything , didn't turn the computer upside down and shake it to get rid of all it's spare boxes for example ). But I've tried everything reasonable I can think of. Any advise would be appreciated cause if we don't sort this, it's back to panther dum de dum thanks Glenn Quote Link to comment
islandmon
OSX uses only Unicode Fonts but will attempt to make do with non-unicode characters by filling in the spaces which are lacking the correct unicode for 'space' or for a carriage return or new paragraph. OSX is very forgiving when it comes to Fonts ... this can be a challenge. Especially if there are different fonts from different foundries but with the same name like 'Helvetica' or 'Ariel'. VW prefers to use those Font IDs which are saved with the file. Hence, the ongoing Font corruption problems from earlier version into OSX. Perhaps, if you trash both VW Preference Files in ~/Library/Preferences ( make sure you have your SN# handy). Then relaunch VW open a new blank file , save and quit, then relaunch VW. If this don't work then try shaking the computer upside down Quote Link to comment
