IFC export - not exported objects

While exporting an ifc model, some objects might not get exported due to they have no fill. Error message only states that some object were not exported, but does not tell which objects they are. It would be extremely useful to get exact information on those objects.

Is there a way to get this information that I'm not aware of? If not, please fix it so that the error message would give that information straight up.

You could use Custom Selection or create a worksheet.  For Custom Selection I recommend that you save it as a Vectorscript so you can run it again.

 

You need to Criteria.   

 

IFC Entity is *   {the * is a wildcard so everything that has an IFC record attached will be selected}

Fill Patern is [blank]. {the cell with a black X at the top left of the fill picker}

 

This can select every IFC entity with no fill.

 

 

Or you could put that criteria into a database row of a worksheet. That will get you a subrow for each object that matches.  Rightclick on the subrow header and Select.
