Yellowstone Construction
I'm having a problem with the ceiling grid tool. I set the area that I want the grid in and all I get is a large poly with no grid. The grid is set for the standard 2x4 grid. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted February 9, 2005 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 9, 2005 What is the layer scale of the active layer? Is it possible that you're on a 1:1 layer? Quote Link to comment
Yellowstone Construction
I'm using it over a viewport. ?? Quote Link to comment
Yellowstone Construction
Re: Just tried it over a Layer it works fine. Most of the plugins seem to work OK on ViewPorts. I guess this one doesn't. Thanks for taking time to answer Robert! Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted February 10, 2005 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 10, 2005 When you say, "I'm using it over a viewport" what you mean is, you're using it in a Sheet Layer. Sheet Layers are 1:1 scale (as I suspected). If you want to add a Ceiling Grid to a viewport, simply double-click the viewport and then click the button "annotations" in the dialog that appears. Then you can add your ceiling grid to the drawing and it will draw "in scale". To go back to your sheet layer, click the "Exit Viewport Annotation" button in the upper right corner of the screen. Yellowstone Construction
You're right again. Thanks for the tip. I've spent alot of time doing design layers over and over to get these simple changes. Quote Link to comment
