jamiec
Wondering if anyone knows why I can't select the actual object in this file? The information seems to exist invisibly 180deg in the opposite corner rotated around the page space. Quote Link to comment
Benson Shaw
Sorry for long response time. not clear why there are multiple rotated and ghosted versions of geometry in the screenshot. But a few ideas and maybe solutions: 1. This view seems accessed from a sheet layer view port (SLVP). Options might be set to show design layer with SLVP settings for layer, class, etc. That could make unexpected visibilities in the design layer edit screen. 2. That same dbl click or right click option to edit a design layer from the SLVP lets you pick the target design layer, Design Layer 1 in this case. Perhaps you want a different design layer to be active during this edit from the (SLVP)? 3. Try accessing the design layer via the Navigation Pallet and , if needed, adjust the layer and class visibility settings to show/hide things as required. general stuff Accessing a saved view resets drawing visibilities to parameters of the saved view. Drawing visibility stays that way until changed again by any method. Eg menu bar change of active layer or class, or nav pallet, or org pallet, or another saved view, or . . . Make sure no objects are far from drawing origin eg 1000Km Update vwx to latest service pack for your version. Save, close and reopen the file. Try a system reboot. post back if no joy. and/or post the file so others can take a look. -B Edited August 14, 2021 by Benson Shaw Signed out Quote Link to comment
