gnkarch
I have been using VW since 8.5.2. Am now using 10.1. I cannot understand why the Note Database is limited to 499 entries. I am aware that one can have many databases. However I did not realize this until the Gen Note Database that I first created was close to the note limit. I have 2 questions. 1: Is there a way to transfer (cut & copy) notes from one database to another, freeing up space in first database w/o re-typing notes? 2: Today I hit the 499 note limit. I tried to remove some old notes that I didn't need in the DB any longer, but every time I tried to remove a note, I received an error meassage that I couldn't ADD any more notes, even though I was trying to remove notes - why? Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted April 2, 2003 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted April 2, 2003 If you removed the notes with a text editor, you need to change the number of notes (this is found in the first line of the notes database) to agree with the remaining number of notes in the database. gnkarch
Robert: thanks for your prompt reply. you answered my second questions. What about the first question? Is the only way to move note database sections from one database to another is with a text editor (cut & paste)? Quote Link to comment
