thx1432
I'm importing an AutoCAD 2000 file of an elevation, and would like to know of a relatively simple way to apply colors to the elevation. Any direction would be greatly appreciated. Danny Quote Link to comment
Guest
Couple questions - What version of Vw are you using? Did you import the file using 2d only, 3d only or 2d and 3d ? Quote Link to comment

Guest
When importing those files, they should come in as polygons. The attributes palette will have the objects with a none fill thanks to AutoCad. You can set a solid fill color to the objects via the class attributes -- if you want everything in class abc to have a blue solid fill, set it in the class called ABC. Select the class in the classes dialog box and click on EDIT. Checkmark "Use at creation". Set the fill bucket to Solid and the color to blue. Click on Okay. It should update the objects in the drawing. If you don't want that, you will have to go thru and select each object and switch the fill bucket from None to Solid and the appropriate color.
