Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted December 4, 2002 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 4, 2002 Unlike fill patterns, hatches are a document resource that need to be created (or imported from another document) before using. Use the Hatch Editor (accessible from the Hatches... command) to create your hatches then you can apply them. Quote Link to comment
Rodger
I have imported the hatches from the resources palette. Is this what you mean? If so, I still cannot select a different hatch from the pull-down in the cavity walls dialogue box. All the hatches are listed but cannot be selected. Do you know of anything else that may be wrong? Thanks Quote Link to comment
Rodger
I CANNOT CHANGE THE HATCH IN WALL CAVITIES FROM THE DEFAULT HATCH. I HAVE TRIED TO ADJUST THE SCALE BUT IT WILL NOT CHANGE THE HATCH PATTERN. THE PATTERNS WORK FINE. HOW DO I ASSIGN A HATCH TO A CAVITY. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted December 5, 2002 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 5, 2002 Open the Cavity Setup dialog (reached from the options button in the Wall Tool mode bar). Click the New Cavity button. Click the Filled Cavity checkbox. Enter a width in the Cavity Width field. (This width and the Cavity Offset work together to size and locate the cavity within the wall.) Click on the Hatch radio button. Now click on the Hatch pulldown (to the right of the Hatch radio button.) All the hatches in the document should be in this pulldown. Select the hatch you want.
