  1. I am new to renderworks and i need a white split faced block. How do i change the color of the available block texture to white. vw10
  2. When using the Open GL feature the rendered model is very rough. I have the Open GL resolution set high. How do i resolve this? Also when using this command must i assign my walls and windows colors? Currently the model is bright white. I thought that was the result of lighting but even with the lights off it still renders this way. Basically, i am not sure how to use this command and the book does not really explain how.
  3. How do I get a grid pattern on a segment arch transom unit using the window tool?

    Dormer Tool

Robert, Yes, in 3-D views. I was not able to hide the model and make the window(3-d object from the object library) visible. However, I was able to ungroup the dormer/roof and reinsert a window using the window tool. This worked. Do you know why?
  5. After Creating A Dormer w/ A Window From The Object Library, The Window Will Not "Hide". I Was Playing w/ The Wall Thickness Of The Dormer And Noticed That The Thinner The Wall Was, That More Of The Window Was Visible. How Do I Remedy This?
  6. Yes, I Can Now Snap To The Underside Of The Roof;however, the two peaks on either side of the wall are not equal and I cannot adjust the right side so that the wall matches the slope of the gable.
  7. VW 9.5 pc, I Want To Create A Seamless Peak At A Gable End. When Using The 3D Reshape Tool To Stretch A Corner Of The Wall To The Underside Of The Roof I Cannot To Snap To An Object As Described In The Users Guide(Pg5-12). After Following The Steps In The Users Guide The Object Lines Are Not Aligned And Creates A Messy Drawing. What Am I Doing Wrong? I Want The Object Line On The Finished Product To Be Crisp And True. Any Tips?
  8. Why does vw create a "existing" and a"proposed" version of a DTM in the site model symbols folder?
  9. I mean that the site model is not updating according to new data.
  10. thanks, I am just getting familiar w/ the site model tools. [ 08-25-2003, 04:08 PM: Message edited by: Rodger ]
  11. I cannot seem to find the "change elevations" command that is referenced in the vw architect users guide, pg 6-18. I am currently using version 9.5.1.
  12. I have created a site model using the grid entry tool. When I create an updated version of the model, the old version is always referenced when changes in the settings/options menu are made. I have deleted the "Existing" and "Proposed" DTM's from the resources palette but the old DTM is created when I update the model. Also, is it possible to have and object line visible in a hidden line rendering at the points where the structure intersects the terrain?
  13. I Have Created A Site Model In A Drawing And Erased It From The Drawing And The Resources Directory. When I Create A New Model, The Old Site Model Is Still Created. How Do I Get Rid Of The Old Model And Create The New One?

    Roof Faces

After creating roof faces and viewing the faces from the "front", the roof faces are at different elevations. How do I prevent this?
