alda
Hello I am working at a engineer office and we use Revit, the Architect uses Vectorworks and sent us a exported .rvt file but we are not able to open it. We get a message that the file needs to be updated to Revit 2020 but when trying to open it in Revit 2020 it cannot retreve in that version ??? Any ide how to solve this ? Quote Link to comment
Administrator JuanP Posted November 4, 2020 Administrator Share Posted November 4, 2020 @alda Without knowing much about the Vectorworks version the file exported from, I will recommend you to request the same file exported to IFC instead. Let us know. 1 Quote Link to comment
alda
Thank you. We are now linking IFC into Revit and a lot of information seem to go missing and quality is bad. Another method is to open the ifc in Revit and save it as a Revit file and than link, a lot more information appear. The problem is the opening boxing from the ifc, If turned off the windows disappear into the walls 😞 so we can not use that. Instead we have to link in a dwg to see details. alda
Do you know if it is possible to export from Vector work without these boxes ? Quote Link to comment
