ErichR
I need to enter a stair at the schematic level. I've read the Help manual and watched the video. I've made several abortive attempts. After 15 or so minutes I ended up with a portion of the stair rising the wrong way. Is there a Platform-R? Or only the Platform-L that's shown in the little "Browser?" And I need to add an el at the end of the stair. After another 15 minutes of mostly trial end error, mostly error, of editing, I had to hit cancel, so of course everything I had edited that was correct was ERASED. This tool, like the door tool, produces deep frustration, and, I might add, anger. Why make it so difficult? There could be (are) three widely-recognized levels of detail: 1. Schematic, for quick entries of graphic info. 2. Design Development, where scale and dimensions really matter, as well as some detail and finishes. 3. Construction Documents, where unlimited detail is possible. It serves no purpose, except to waste time, to require detailed decisions in order to produce schematic drawings. Mat Caird
with platform-L, set the angle to -90 I personally find the new stair tool easy enough. It's way easier than ArchiCAD's... Quote Link to comment
ErichR
Wow! ArchiCad is even worse? Quote Link to comment
