Is anyone else out there experiencing the usual new version slow down? Slow to open (paint dries faster), delays when opening sub menus (like the new one for doors or texture mapping in Renderworks), excruciatingly long render times for Renderworks (yes, using options that were in 11),etc?

As I recall versions 9, 10 and 11 went through this as well. I've got 11 and 12 loaded, make money with 11 and play with 12 for stuff that is not crucial.

Thoughts?

Do you have a file demonstrating excruciatingly slow rendering? Do you have timings comparing it to 11.0 or 11.5? Could you send it to me?

Ok, so back to the sub menus:

In 12, pokey. In 11.5 not.

menus:

Door preferences (3 second delay on a converted 11.5 file [about 1 sec in a native 12 file]). Not acceptable.

Worksheet: Format cells (from pull down), 1 second delay. Doesn't matter if its 12 native or 11.5 convert.

12 is slooooow to open. You've had this same problem with .0 releases since version 9.

BTW the new stair tool is not the most intuitive thing I've seen.
