line styles

Recommended Posts

Importing shouldn't change the 5 line thicknesses that show in the Attributes palette, but any new dash styles in the imported file will be added to the list of dash styles shown there.

That is the least of the problems of clutter coming in with DWG files. You should never import a DWG file into a VW file you're working on. You should import into a new file, then alter anything you don't want, such as dash styles or symbols, and then Copy and Paste what remains into the file you're working on. A DWG file usually has a lot of other clutter - they often have a few thousand unreferenced symbol definitions - and those extras don't come along with a Paste.
