_MH_
Hi All, Brand new to the forum and VectorWorks. Is there an easy way to purge unused Design Layers from a document, not just design layers outside the page bounds? Thanks! MH Quote Link to comment

michaelk
Welcome to the forum. Not sure what you mean by a design layer outside the page bounds. But you can delete them from the organization dialog Tools > Organization… OR Right click on a design layer or class in the navigation palette and choose delete OR Use Tools > Purge…. There are options there to delete unused classes and layers. 1 Quote Link to comment
_MH_
Thanks michaelk, I found that the problem was I kept importing Classes and Layers every time I updated my References. Quote Link to comment
michaelk
That can be a huge issue. I always go to the source file and delete all the unwanted classes or - most often - bring it in as a design layer viewport. Then you still have access to all the layers and classes of the source drawing without polluting your drawing with all those classes. 1 Quote Link to comment
