islandmon Posted May 21, 2005 Share Posted May 21, 2005 This is just to give a heads up regarding Fonts & Font Size in v11.5. If you WGR a file with older fonts or import a DWG/DXF make certain to go to the extreme and check & update every single instance of every font & size in the document including all classes & symbols. Even one little instance of an uninstalled font reference will prevent VW from selecting Object Handles and lead to many peculiar ToolKit behaviors. Yesterday, I accessed an imported DWG ( 'Font Mapping' works on the Font, only, not the size since this is scale dependent) which I previously converted & 'cleaned' by setting the fonts by group & class only to discover later a nested font within an overlooked class. That font mapped to Arial like all the others but the size remained 'null'. Bingo, it corrupted my working file after a WGR. Thankfully I only use one Font 'Arial TT'. If I used multiple Fonts & Foundaries, this situation could be a potential nightmare... especially as it relates to symbols. 'KISS' saved my butt again. Quote Link to comment
