John Oualline
Is there any option setup for VW so that the last file closed is the startup file? THAT WAY THE CRASHED FILE RECOVERY DOESN'T TAKE SO LONG TO REBOOT. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
alanmac
You could open the file from its location by double clicking I suppose rather than starting VW first. When you open a file this way I've found it does not create a blank document first. Of course the fact you in this instance want to open a file that crashed may cause VW problems in locating it but its worth a try. Many of my files are backed up on disc these days with little work located on the machine so I just load the disc, search for the file via Explorer (Windows based) and double click to open. I do feel this is such an obvious and simple answer that maybe I don't understand your question fully and have missed something, but I hope this helps in some way anyway. Good luck All the best Alan Quote Link to comment
JHEarcht
In Windows I place an icon of the current drawing file on the desktop. When I click on the icon, VW opens with that file displayed. If Mac OS works the same way it will save you some time reopening the same drawing. JHE Quote Link to comment
